Job Summary:

The Electrical Maintenance Mechanic will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery & will be responsible for maintenance activities In both Phase1 & Phase 2 in all departments forging, casting, finishing, and machining operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs daily line walks in Forging, Casting & Finishing departments.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant equipment involving checking voltages, changing out bad components, switching out gauges, as well as making camera and software adjustments.
• Program PLCs and diagnose machine faults/failures related to CNC, Servo, AC Motion Controls, related electronic components. 
• Performs preventive & predictive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
• Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. (why why analysis)
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
• Prepares reports documenting work performed in CMMS system
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. 
• Identifying faults or hazards.
• Troubleshooting system failures.
• Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement.
• Testing of electrical systems with megger, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
• Responding to fault requests.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Knowledge of electrical & electronics with great problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of schematics and program reading
• Knowledgeable in a variety of machine software, PLC, HMI & Automation.
• Skill & Knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems.
• Skill & Knowledge on material handling systems, conveyors, cranes
• Ability & skill to work & handle gases like Natural Gas, Chlorine, Argon, Nitrogen & Oxygen.
• Ability to follow step-by-step procedures.
• Works well independently and with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics curriculum preferred
• 2-5 years of experience troubleshooting electronic controls in a manufacturing setting

Physical Requirements: 

• Prolonged periods standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb the ladder & reach top of presses & equipment
