Job DetailsJob Location: LaBella Campus - Middletown, CT 06457Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School/GEDSalary Range: $20.00 - $20.00 HourlyJob Shift: Third ShiftJob Category: Residential AidePosition: Residential Aide Program: Eddy Center Location: Middletown Salary: $20.00/hour Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 3rd shift, Monday, Friday-Sunday (10-8a)   Program Summary: The Eddy Center is a residential housing program that provides individualized treatment services, substance use and mental health education, and job preparation to adult males who are under DOC's supervision so they can successfully re-enter their communities and avoid re-offending.   Position Summary: This Residential Aide will utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach, providing structure and supervision to justice involved Men as they re-enter the community after a period of incarceration. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice involved or have a client/customer support background and be highly motivated to help others make positive change. An ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required. Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.    Requirements: High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent or an Associate's Degree Valid Driver’s License  Regular and predictable attendance is required Orientation:  If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.   Benefits: Medical, dental, vision benefits are offered along with other additional voluntary coverages with full time employment 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching contribution Company paid short and long term disability and life insurance with full time employment Paid time off (vacation, personal and sick) with full time employment 12 paid holidays    The Connection is a statewide human services and community development agency that provides unique solutions to the problems of homelessness, mental illness, substance use, improving child welfare and community justice rehabilitation.
