Ready to Take the Wheel and Keep the Lumber Yard Moving All Year Long?


Jump into the driver’s seat as a Lumber Yard Forklift Operator and turn every day into an outdoor adventure! You’ll be the mastermind behind loading and unloading rail cars and flatbed trailers, keeping materials moving like clockwork. This role is perfect for someone who’s reliable, can take the lead without being told, thrives on adapting to whatever the day throws at them, and loves working outside all year long. Reporting directly to the site supervisor, you’ll be a full-time, hands-on hero making the lumber yard run smoothly. This is a full time, non-exempt, hourly position. 


  • Hours of operation: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Starting Pay is $ 21.00
  • Weekly pay 


Primary Job Duties:

  • Operate 5K, 10K, 15K, and 36K Forklifts 
  • Load lumber and steel onto flatbed trailers 
  • Move and stack materials 
  • Move rail cars on the line 
  • Strap products into gondolas
  • Fall Protection Certification 
  • Unstrap and secure rail cars 
  • Unload box cars 
  • Receive and process shipments 
  • Spreader Bar Operations 
  • Unload Steel from Gondolas 
  • General housekeeping duties in production areas 
  • Comply with and adhere to all safety policies and regulations 
  • Perform proper forklift inspections and adhere to all forklift operating guidelines and procedures

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred) 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • 1 year Lumber Yard Experience 
  • 1 year’ Large Forklift (10k or higher) Experience 
  • Rail car Experience a plus 
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and stand throughout the duration of the shift
  • Must be flexible with working in multiple site locations 
  • Pre-hire Drug Screening Required
  • Background Screening Not Conducted
