Job DetailsJob Location: 651 - Scottsdale Curio Resort & Spa - Scottsdale, AZ 85258FULL-TIME POSITION SUMMARY The Banquet Set-Up Attendant is responsible for setting up and breaking down banquet and meeting rooms in accordance with event orders and resort standards. This role ensures function spaces are prepared accurately, safely, and on schedule to support the successful execution of banquets, conferences, and special events. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES •     Review banquet event orders (BEOs) and floor plans to determine room setup requirements, including table configuration, seating, staging, and equipment placement. •     Set up and break down tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, podiums, linens, and other event equipment according to specifications. •     Transport and position audiovisual equipment, signage, and event materials as directed. •     Perform turnovers between events, resetting rooms within required timeframes. •     Inspect function spaces prior to events to confirm cleanliness, proper setup, and working condition of equipment. •     Store, maintain, and organize banquet furniture, equipment, and supplies in designated storage areas. •     Communicate with the Banquet Manager or Captain regarding setup progress, discrepancies, or last-minute changes. •     Assist with moving and lifting heavy furniture and equipment safely, using proper techniques and equipment. •     Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with resort safety standards. •     Perform other duties as assigned by banquet or Food & Beverage leadership. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS •     High school diploma or equivalent preferred. •     Prior experience in banquet setup, hospitality, or a related physical labor role preferred. •     Ability to read and interpret floor plans and event orders. •     Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. •     Ability to work effectively as part of a team under time constraints. •     Flexible availability, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS •     Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 75 lbs. occasionally with assistance. •     Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and push/pull equipment for extended periods. •     Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures based on event location. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed primarily in banquet and meeting spaces, with some outdoor event setup as needed. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high during event turnovers.
