As a PC Technician II, you’ll help keep the technology our teams rely on running smoothly so they can stay focused on what matters most: supporting Vitalant’s lifesaving mission.
This is an opportunity for an experienced PC support professional who enjoys solving problems, helping people, and taking ownership of technical challenges. You’ll provide hands-on support for computers and peripheral equipment, troubleshoot more complex hardware and software issues, and serve as a technical resource for your peers.

What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Configure, install, maintain and troubleshoot PCs, laptops, tablets, thin clients, printers, scanners and other peripheral equipment.
- Diagnose hardware and software problems, network communication issues and connectivity problems through resolution.
- Resolve issues escalated by other support team members and independently research solutions to technology problems.
- Monitor and update trouble tickets, document resolutions and contribute to the team’s knowledge base.
- Manage projects involving PC hardware and software upgrades or replacements.
- Help evaluate new desktop technology and make hardware and software recommendations.
- Define hardware configuration standards, write SOPs, and create and maintain standard PC images.
- Maintain critical parts inventory and support accurate inventory control of data-processing hardware.
- Coordinate equipment repairs with vendors.
- Assist with workflow coordination, training and mentoring of support staff as needed.
What You Bring
- Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of related experience, including PC repair, troubleshooting and configuration and experience reading hardware diagrams
- Working knowledge of PC software packages and operating systems
- Working knowledge of PC hardware components
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize a changing workload with multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility to work varying shifts
- Valid in-state driver’s license
- Relevant hardware or software certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Working knowledge of various PC software packages and operating systems required.
Working knowledge of PC hardware components required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Relevant hardware or software certification preferred.
Valid in-state driver's license required.
EXPERIENCE
Three years related experience required. To include:
a. Experience in PC repair, trouble shooting and configuration and reading hardware diagrams.
