As diagnostic testing continues to advance, Cardinal Health Clinical Laboratory Products and Services is evolving to support the needs of hospital labs, reference labs, governmentĀ labsĀ and labs in non-acute care settings. TheĀ LabĀ DiagnosticĀ SalesĀ SpecialistĀ is responsible for managing the sales process of capital equipment in the clinical laboratory to include lead generation, financial modeling,Ā working closely with our manufacturer partners to close system sales in chemistry, immunology, histology, microbiology, hematology, and molecular diagnostics within assigned regionĀ territory.Ā Ā

Responsibilities:Ā 

  • IdentifyĀ and qualifyĀ new salesĀ opportunities and develop plans for introducingĀ new solutionsĀ through collaborative relationships with manufacturers and Lab Product Representatives.Ā 

  • Execute onĀ business opportunities andĀ maintainĀ a robust pipeline across the diagnostic instrumentation portfolio.Ā 

  • Manage the end-end sales process of capital equipment in the clinical laboratory to include lead generation, financial modeling,Ā working closely with our manufacturer partners to close system sales in chemistry, immunology, histology, microbiology, hematology, and molecular diagnostics within assigned region.Ā 

  • Effectively provide competitive differentiation and value to the overall customer solution. Provide in-depth technicalĀ expertise.Ā 

  • AssistĀ customers in achieving defined businessĀ andĀ technical goals. These responsibilities will includeĀ pre &Ā post analysis review.Ā Ā 

  • Deliver tailored presentations specific to customer needs incorporating the outcome data from the various process analysis.Ā Conduct system demonstrations & presentations where applicable, Road Shows, Site Visits, etc.Ā Ā 

  • Applies knowledge of the customer’s business and laboratory instrumentation portfolio to present solutions that improve lab workflow efficiency, testĀ accuracyĀ and patient outcomes.Ā 

  • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer, supplierĀ partnersĀ and internal constituents to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus.Ā 

  • Build and sustain relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers andĀ ensuresĀ customer satisfaction and loyalty.Ā 

  • Complete all administrative tasks & training including expense reports,Ā pipeline,Ā maintainĀ accurateĀ SFDC records, market feedback, etc.Ā Ā 

  • Attend andĀ participateĀ in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows as directed.Ā Ā 

  • Meet andĀ maintainĀ the requirements of all key vendor credentialing entities.Ā 

  • Maintain knowledge of the current industry / competitive landscapeĀ including,Ā GPOs, healthcare economics, reimbursement,Ā competitorsĀ and competitive products etc.Ā Ā 

  • Travel within assignedĀ region. Maintain active, in-person presence.Ā

QualificationsĀ Ā 

  • Bachelor's degreeĀ or relevant experienceĀ preferredĀ Ā 

  • Sales Experience in LaboratoryĀ industry,Ā selling capital equipment or laboratory equipment into hospitals and reference laboratoriesĀ strongly preferredĀ 

  • Functional understanding of Laboratory workflow and processĀ Ā 

  • Experience working in complex sales environments withĀ demonstratedĀ successĀ Ā 

  • Successful negotiation, strategic planning, and organizational skillsĀ Ā 

  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage the sales processĀ with many competing prioritiesĀ 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, strong business acumen, and a desire to conquer complex sales processesĀ 

  • Strong communicationĀ & listening skillsĀ 

  • Ability to travelĀ up toĀ 75% of the timeĀ Ā 

  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 States with a clean driving recordĀ 

  • Experience working with Microsoft applications (excel) and aptitude toĀ useĀ various business tools (i.e.Ā salesforce).Ā Ā
