Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Finance team! Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on our AWS Global Sales Finance team supporting the Global Start Up Business. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced team. We are looking for candidates with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, a passion for uncovering insights to drive business outcomes at scale, the ability to influence senior stakeholders through clear written and verbal communication, and the capacity to prioritize effectively while navigating ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a FP&A lead supporting global teams targeting the world's newest start up companies - providing financial support and driving business insights
- Lead the maintenance of existing and the development of new financial models and advanced analytical tools that aid in key decision making
- Develop financial and operational metrics, drive adoption of those metrics, and help influence the business
- Perform ad-hoc analysis, write financial documents, build comprehensive tables/reports, and support cross functional projects
- Lead process improvement and automation projects to scale reporting, collaborating cross-functionally with central finance and sales operations teams Basic Qualifications: - 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
