MAJOR FUNCTION:

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients seeking urgent medical attention as well as occupational health services. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care or ER preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently

Licensure/ Certification:

  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in NJ
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) 
  • Active NJ CDS and DEA license
  • BLS certification
  • Obtain National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners certification within 6 months of accepting the job

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain medical histories
  • Perform DOT physicals
  • Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies
