Overall Scope

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for leading the Distribution Center employees in a fast-paced, high-volume 600,000 square foot state of the art Automotive Distribution center in Shawnee, KS. The Distribution Supervisor leads employees through the daily duties of the respective area of operation. Resolve issues and motivate employees to safely produce quality products in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements

路 Minimum Associate Degree and/or 5 years experience in related field.

路 Demonstrated experience with leadership, setting goals with follow-up, disciplinary issues, and policy enforcement.

路 Proficient with MS Office Suite.

路 Good organizational and communication skills.

路 Bilingual in Spanish preferred.聽

Responsibilities and Duties

路 Accountable to the Operations Manager for department performance in quality, cost, delivery, safety environment, and policy administration.

路 Support planning of and management of departmental goals and metrics.

路 Identify and help resolve production issues.

路 Provide leadership for the operations associates in department.

路 Ensure that associates within department have the necessary resources and training to accomplish department goals.

路 Conduct coaching sessions, including performance evaluations, to improve associate performance.

路 Recognize department and individual accomplishments.

路 Lead associates through conflict resolution processes and mediate conflicts as needed. Resolve grievances and escalate higher-level disciplinary situations as appropriate.

路 Document disciplinary issues.

路 Approve Leave/Vacation per Company policy.

路 Responsible for timely and accurate payroll data for department.

路 Maintain adequate people/skills mix to run department in partnership with manager.

路 Enforce all safety rules and company policies.

路 Other duties as required and assigned.

Ergonomic Focus and Additional Qualifications

路 Ability to lift 40 lbs.

路 Other physical demands: standing and walking; occasional bending/stooping; exposure to hot, cold, and dust

路 May require work during seasonal demands on alternate shift including evenings and weekends

路 Hours will be 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM after training on first shift
