Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher with demonstrated experience in stair construction and finishing. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering smooth, precise, and durable concrete surfaces and is comfortable working on both large flatwork and detailed stair applications.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Finish freshly poured concrete on slabs, floors, sidewalks, curbs, and structural elements to specified grades and tolerances.
•    Form, pour, and finish concrete stairs — including treads, risers, nosings, and landings — to code requirements and project specifications.
•    Operate and maintain hand tools and power equipment including screeds, bull floats, hand floats, trowels, edgers, and groovers.
•    Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project specifications.
•    Set forms and establish correct slope and drainage on finished surfaces.
•    Apply curing compounds, sealers, and protective coatings as required.
•    Inspect finished work for defects and make corrections as needed.
•    Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
•    Coordinate with other trades and supervisors to meet project schedules.

Qualifications:
•    Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a concrete finisher.
•    Demonstrated experience finishing concrete stairs (treads, risers, landings).
•    Proficiency with hand and power finishing tools.
•    Ability to read plans and work to specified tolerances.
•    Knowledge of concrete mix characteristics, set times, and curing requirements.
•    Ability to work in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor for extended periods.

• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Prolonged kneeling, bending, and working at ground level.
• Comfortable working on elevated surfaces and scaffolding.
