Superior Glove Works Ltd.is currently seeking a Serger / Production Associate to work out of its Shreveport, LA location.
About the role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Serger / Production Associate will be working in our production department primarily on a serging (industrial sewing) machine. The job involves sewing cuffs and other finishing processes with a variety of our glove and sleeve products. This role will also be responsible for packing, quality checking, and other finishing duties.

Responsibilities:
- Perform sewing/serging and labelling
- Quality check of product and communication of any issues
- Ensure proper product is used to fulfil orders (quantity, size, product code)
- Verifying orders and ensuring accurate labelling
- Packing of orders in boxes, vend-pak bags, special shipments as necessary
- Use of stamping machine, serge machine, tape dispenser and carts in a safe and efficient manner
- General knowledge of the machine functions to identify potential operation issues
- Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures / Policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Safety, Customer Service, Quality and Environmental programs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous sewing and/or serging experience is required
- Minimum one (1) year of previous production in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Good verbal and written communications skills are required
- Basic math skills required to ensure order accuracy (testing done during interview)
- Team Player
- Position requires capability to sit/stand for long periods, perform repetitive high arm movements and bending
- Successful candidates need to be comfortable in warm working conditions
- Ability to work outside of standard hours, including evenings and weekends as required is considered an asset
- Attention to detail and quality in following specifications.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Work and operate equipment per the company’s safety rules and regulations.
- Follow and adhere to company’s policies and procedures
