Forklift Operator Order Selector

Job Summary:
 The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in supporting warehouse and production operations by safely and efficiently handling the movement, loading, unloading, and storage of materials using powered industrial trucks. This position ensures timely and accurate management of products and supplies to maintain smooth workflow and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack merchandise safely and efficiently.
• Move materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production floor.
• Inspect items for accuracy and damage prior to transport.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting, damage, or spills.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance on forklifts.
• Report any mechanical or electrical issues promptly.
• Adhere to company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Assist with packing, stacking, and organizing inbound and outbound shipments.
• Handle transportation of waste, chemicals, and miscellaneous items as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
• Flexibility to work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Certified and experienced forklift operator.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical capability for repetitive lifting and maneuvering in a warehouse setting.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work in varying temperature conditions typical of warehouse environments.
• Compliance with PPE requirements.
