Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

We are a busy veterinary hospital focused on providing high quality medicine while creating a positive experience for our patients, clients, and staff. We value teamwork, communication, reliability, and people who genuinely enjoy working with animals and their owners.

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and skill level, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations and treatments
  • Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
  • Drawing blood and collecting laboratory samples
  • Running in house diagnostic testing
  • Preparing and administering medications and vaccines under veterinarian direction
  • Taking and assisting with digital radiographs
  • Preparing patients for surgery and assisting with procedures
  • Monitoring anesthesia and patient vital signs
  • Providing post-operative and hospitalized patient care
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Educating and communicating with clients
  • Helping keep treatment areas organized, stocked, and ready for patient care
Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already has hands on veterinary hospital experience and is comfortable working in a clinical environment.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Experienced in veterinary patient care
  • Friendly and compassionate with clients and patients
  • Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
  • Comfortable in a busy hospital environment
  • Detail-oriented and able to communicate effectively
  • Interested in continuing to learn and develop their veterinary skills

Both part time and full time positions are available.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant/Technician/Nurse required
  • Valid Veterinary Technician/Nurse certification, a plus (but not required)
  • Excellent technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, and laboratory techniques
  • Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal care
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
