The Business Development Associate will seek new business opportunities and contact potential customers to develop relationships. This position initiates exploratory calls with prospects to offer Hatzel & Buehler’s services. Through a combination of networking, market research, and outreach, the Business Development Representative will generate leads and increase the sales pipeline.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualify leads generated from marketing campaigns as potential sales opportunities.
  • Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calls and emails to generate interest and secure meetings.
  • Nurture and develop relationships with existing leads to facilitate the closing of sales.
  • Manage the client database to ensure accurate and timely information is available to the sales team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within a specified geographical area.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with key partners to explore and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Assist in determining pricing strategies based on market analysis and client feedback.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in sales or business development, preferably in [industry/niche].
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience in cold calling, prospecting, and lead qualification.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.


Work Environment: 
This job mainly operates in an office setting using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
