Become a Physician's Right Hand in a Fast-Paced Pain Management Practice

At Groth Pain & Spine, exceptional healthcare starts with how people are treated — and our Medical Scribes play an essential role in making that possible. Working side-by-side with an assigned physician throughout the clinical day, you'll do far more than document visits: you'll serve as a true clinical partner, helping manage patient flow, anticipating what's needed next, and keeping the day running smoothly and efficiently.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced role suited for someone who is sharp, organized, and energized by staying one step ahead — someone who thrives on knowing exactly where the physician needs to be, what each patient needs, and what has to happen next.

What You'll Do

  • Work directly alongside an assigned physician throughout the clinical day
  • Monitor and manage the physician's schedule and patient flow in real time
  • Room patients for office visits, consultations, and ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Perform initial patient intakes and gather relevant clinical information
  • Accurately document patient history, exam findings, procedures, treatment plans, and diagnostic results as directed by the provider
  • Maintain complete, timely documentation within the EMR
  • Pull forward prior documentation and obtain relevant imaging reports for each encounter
  • Prepare charts ahead of the next day's schedule and flag missing information
  • Maintain strong familiarity with upcoming patients, ready to brief the physician on history and clinical needs at a moment's notice
  • Assist during ultrasound-guided procedures, including entering patient data into ultrasound equipment
  • Measure, fit, and dispense prescribed medical braces and DME per protocol
  • Collect specimens and support general Medical Assistant duties as needed
  • Communicate proactively with Medical Assistants, front-desk staff, and providers to keep patient flow efficient
  • Identify and flag potential delays or workflow issues before they become problems
  • Maintain clean, organized, procedure-ready clinical spaces
  • Ensure every patient receives a compassionate, respectful, and professional experience

What You Bring

  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate and help direct a physician's daily workflow
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment
  • Composure and productivity under pressure
  • Excellent typing and EMR/computer proficiency
  • Ability to document accurately while actively listening to provider and patient
  • Sharp attention to detail and strong information retention
  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Initiative and the ability to anticipate a physician's needs before being asked
  • Reliability, accountability, and consistency
  • Openness to feedback and continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
  • Genuine compassion, patience, and empathy with patients

Compensation & Benefits

  • $500 sign-on bonus
  • $20–$25/hour, based on experience
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • 12 PTO days and 8 paid holidays
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Company-provided uniforms
