We are seeking a staff accountant for our finance department to assist with:  Billing/Vouchering for various contracts including Suffolk County Deficit Funding, OPWDD, ACCES-VR. Journal Entries are made monthly to record the accounts receivable on the contracts. Review of health insurance bills is done monthly to insure that the bills correspond with the payroll. Monthly Journal Entry is prepared to allocate as such. Preparation of NYS Gas Tax refund forms on a quarterly basis. Refund is calculated based on gallons and cost of fuel purchased during the quarter. Capture of Food Stamp revenue for the IRA participants and preparation of the corresponding Journal Entry. Review of ISS Grant recipients’ documentation and check requests. Preparation of corresponding backup spreadsheet. Maintain the Fixed Asset spreadsheets and reconcile the information to the General Ledger on a quarterly basis Assists with annual budgets and audit and CFR preparation Prepare fringe reporting for the W-2’s and 1099   QualificationsEducation and/or Experience                                                    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, required. Minimum of four (4) years related accounting experience, required.
