The Rental Supervisor is responsible for overseeing rental operations to ensure a high-quality experience for guests. This role requires strong organizational skills, efficient management, and preparing a staff of well-trained technicians who prioritize guest experience.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.


Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Long Term Thinking

  • Train Rental Shop employees on the use of tech stations to fit equipment and adjust bindings per manufacturer specifications and best practices, producing a fun and safe day on the snow for guests.
  • Maintain an organized system for retaining accident documentation and release of liability forms.

Excellence in Execution

  • Lead daily floor operations and supervise rental staff during assigned shifts, assigning workstations and daily responsibilities.
  • Prioritize and assign employees various Rental Shop tasks such as inventory management, cleaning, and special projects.
  • Responsible for daily inventory and sales reporting to maximize revenue and reduce shrink, and support accurate inventory counts and equipment organization.

Attitude is Everything

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with employees and guests at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
  • Communicate operational issues promptly to the Assistant Manager or Manager.

Develop Great People

  • Through attracting and retaining top talent, ensure the Rental Shop is properly staffed according to guest needs.
  • Coach employees during daily operations, providing real-time guidance and support.

Serve First

  • Handle escalated guest complaints and special requests effectively and resolve routine guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest wait times and workflow to keep the guest experience fast and smooth, especially during peak periods.
  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize guest flow and experience.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Required

  • Ability to directly supervise up to 25 employees in the Rental Shop(s).
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Certification by binding manufacturers through The Summit at Snoqualmie is required within 7 days of starting.
  • Certification from U.S. binding companies (e.g., Marker, Salomon, Look, Tyrolia) must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in ski/snowboard equipment and rental operations.
  • Knowledge of current winter sports equipment trends and technology.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is:Ā  from $26.00-29.00/hr DOE

This is a non-benefited role.

All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).

All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.

All Team Members may participate in our Ally Heath benefit. It gives fast and easy access to Telemedicine and Mental Health appointments. It covers all family members and there are no copays or deductibles. It is a $4 deduction each week.
