How you’ll contributeÂ
A Security Officer who excels in this role:
- Perform proactive monitoring and respond promptly to potential or actual security threatsÂ
- Investigate and manage all security incidents and hazards on hospital premisesÂ
- Maintain knowledge of and adhere to policies regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparednessÂ
- Facilitate drills and simulations for emergency preparednessÂ
- Provide assistance and information to staff and visitors to promote safetyÂ

What we're looking forÂ
Security Officer:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferredÂ
- Associate’s degree or higher in any discipline preferredÂ
Experience
- Service in active-duty military, reserves, National Guard, or auxiliary police/cadet programs preferredÂ
- Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable and successful security experience requiredÂ
- Healthcare security experience preferredÂ
- At least six (6) months of customer interaction experience preferredÂ
Licenses
- Current, valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordÂ
Skills & Abilities
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionÂ
- Ability to remain calm and take appropriate action in stressful situationsÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skillsÂ
- Effective verbal and written communication in EnglishÂ
