Job Overview:
This position implements all functions involved with operation of robotic welding equipment. The successful candidate will have industrial welding and robotic technician experience and must be self-motivated, possess and demonstrate safety hazard recognition and mitigation abilities to ensure a safe work environment

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs all functions involved in operation of robotic welder, including preventative maintenance, programming, touch point, and operations corrections.
- Reads production orders, quality control plans and blueprints to determine required set-up including fixture needed and type of metal being welded.
- Retrieves parts and secures parts in jigs and fixtures with clamps.
- Performs basic MIG welding techniques as needed.
- Cleans jigs, table and work area using grinder and chisels if necessary and visually examines welds for conformance to specifications.
- Inspect  and rewelds non-conforming welds.
- Arranges welded pieces in an orderly fashion and moves finished parts to staging area.
- Examines finished weldment to verify conformance with specifications according to operator inspection sheet, quality control plans using gauges such as tape measure, caliper, GO/NO GO gauges, etc.
- Â Records work output and red tag and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
- Maintains Companies 6S follows and all safe work practices, quality, efficiency, and productivity standards.
- Ability to resolve wire feed issues , shielding gas flow errors (Ar or COâ‚‚ mixes), and tool center point (TCP) calibrations
- Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Candidates must be technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of welding equipment and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of weld wire, fixtures and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Knowledge of intermediate to advanced math skills.
- Ability to use handheld measuring tools.
- Ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job, IPAD, machine software and help desk.
- Understanding of GMAW (MIG) steel and stainless-steel parameters, heat distortion limits, and joint configurations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful completion of an internal welding test and an internal programming test; both written and
- Technical degree in welding and/or robotics preferred.
- 2+ years welding experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
