About the Role: The Wetcast Supervisor is responsible for directing all day-to-day wetcast production activities, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and production schedules. This position oversees the Wall Panels, Beams, Columns, Solid Slabs, Risers, and Finishing departments while coordinating closely with Engineering, Quality Control, Maintenance, Shipping, and the Ancillary Department to maintain uninterrupted production. The Wetcast Supervisor is responsible for developing employees, maintaining production standards, improving operational performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Production Management Direct daily production activities across all wetcast operations. Execute production schedules established by the Production Manager. Monitor production progress throughout the day. Remove production bottlenecks and constraints. Balance manpower between departments based on workload. Ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently. Production Planning & Coordination    Coordinate labor requirements. Verify forms, materials, and equipment are ready before production begins. Communicate schedule changes and production priorities. Coordinate with: Planning & Throughput, Engineering, Quality Control, Ancillary Department, Shipping and Maintenance. Safety Conduct daily safety observations. Investigate incidents and near misses. Ensure proper PPE usage. Promote a proactive safety culture. Quality             Ensure products meet engineering drawings and specifications. Verify proper setup prior to pouring. Monitor concrete placement and finishing quality. Reduce defects and rework. Support corrective actions and root cause investigations. Drive First Pass Yield (FPY) improvements. Productivity & Performance     Monitor and improve: Daily production output, Labor efficiency, Schedule adherence, Cycle times, Downtime, Rework, Overtime utilization, Department productivity. Equipment & Facility Management       Ensure equipment is inspected before use. Coordinate repairs with Maintenance. Report equipment issues promptly. Maintain production readiness. Monitor crane utilization and workflow. Development    Plan the training of new employees. Develop lead personnel. Cross-train employees between departments. Build succession plans. Conduct performance coaching. Reinforce company expectations and standards. Hold EOW Foreman meetings. Housekeeping & Organization  Maintain clean, organized work areas. Enforce 5S standards. Ensure forms and tools are properly stored. Improve material flow throughout the production floor. Continuous Improvement         Identify production inefficiencies. Eliminate waste and unnecessary motion. Improve setup times. Standardize production processes. Lead Lean manufacturing initiatives. Implement corrective actions that improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Communication           Communicate production status throughout the day. Escalate issues impacting schedule or quality. Coordinate daily with Production Manager. Provide clear expectations to employees. Maintain positive communication between departments. Documentation & Reporting Complete daily production reports. Track labor utilization. Monitor production KPIs. Document quality concerns. Report schedule variances. Maintain department performance metrics. Qualifications: Required Preferred High school diploma or GED Associate’s degree in construction management Manufacturing Concrete Technology Ability to obtain required company safety certifications. ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I PCI Level I or II OSHA 30 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years leadership/supervisory experience. Experience leading crews and coordinating daily production. Experience rigging and operating overhead cranes. Demonstrated ability to analyze process, develop improvements, and implement change. 3+ years in wetcast/precast concrete production. Experience with architectural and structural precast. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings. Understanding of form setup, reinforcing, embeds, casting, stripping and finishing. Ability to plan manpower and prioritize daily production. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office proficiency. Knowledge of concrete mix behavior, SCC, admixtures and curing. Experience with batching and concrete placement. Understanding of PCI/ACI quality requirements. Lean/continuous improvement experience. Ability to lead, train and hold employees accountable. Strong communication and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to improve safety, quality and productivity. Experience developing foremen/leads.
