Ludwig and Company, an Illinois property management firm with properties throughout the Midwest, is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds Person/Landscaper to join our team at a Section 8 apartment community in South Bend, Indiana. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes, and are committed to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, we'd love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall appearance of the property grounds and landscaping.
- Mow, trim, edge, and water lawns and landscaped areas.
- Plant, prune, weed, mulch, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees.
- Remove trash and debris from the property daily.
- Sweep sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas.
- Assist with snow removal and ice control during winter months.
- Ensure the property remains clean, attractive, and free of safety hazards.
- Report maintenance concerns or property damage to management.
- Assist the maintenance team with light exterior maintenance projects as needed.

Requirements
 Requirements
- Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
