Ecolab is seekingĀ Engineering Technical Sales InternsĀ to join our summerĀ 2027Ā technicalĀ salesĀ internship program.Ā YouĀ will helpĀ identifyĀ and propose solutions to preserve energy and water, minimize our customers’ environmentalĀ footprintĀ and increase productivity. You will combine a traditional engineering approach with a consultative sales approach focused on strong account leadership skills and retention of strategic accounts. You will also learn how to build long-term relationships with a large customer base by understanding their key business drivers, providing strategic resolution through hands-on problem solving, and offering new digital technology solutions.Ā

What You Will Do:Ā Ā 

  • Complete an independent project(s) under primary trainer’s direction to yield calculated ROIĀ 

  • Complete safety training & technical lessons that serve as an introduction to water treatment applicationsĀ 

  • Observe andĀ participateĀ in service as it is provided to customers to assureĀ accurateĀ chemical application, processĀ optimizationĀ and documentationĀ 

  • Complete introductory training of the consultative sales approachĀ 

  • Visit multiple customer sites across the region (40-100%Ā of training time spent in field) to learn best practices and types of unit applications and treatment approachesĀ 

  • Build key relationships and interaction with departments and personnel that will be critical to success in the fieldĀ 

  • Work within various regional sales districts and customer locations to build specific technical knowledge and gain sales experience while helping customers achieve their sustainability goals.Ā Ā 

  • Provide routine service support to Sales Representative. May be subject to testingĀ includesĀ Boilers, CoolingĀ towers, Closed loops, R.O. and filtration.Ā

  • Willing toĀ relocateĀ within the United States. Nationwide locations availableĀ Ā

  • Opportunity for a hybrid work environment, balancing field days with working remotelyĀ Ā

Minimum Qualifications:Ā Ā 

  • Pursuing undergraduate degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial)Ā graduating inĀ December 2027Ā or Summer 2028Ā

  • 11-week paid internship program, starting onĀ Tuesday, June 1stĀ 

  • Position requires a valid US Driver’s License and acceptable motor vehicle record and access to a personal vehicleĀ

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
