Job DetailsJob Location: South Gate, CA 90280Salary Range: $25.00 - $30.00 HourlyDuties and Responsibilities: In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in the performance of other Pharmacy Department duties in accordance with Company policies and procedures.   Essential Functions: The functions performed by employees in this job family will vary by level or the area(s) to which assigned but may include (and not be limited to) the following. Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Via Care’s care standards.   Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, locates correct medication and strength. Prepares, counts, labels, packages, and dispenses pharmaceuticals for Pharmacist approval. Interacts with other departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis. Responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.  Retrieves discontinued or expired medications from stock; discards or returns to stock as appropriate; completes corresponding documentation. Assists with the maintenance of pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs, and documents maintenance. Complies with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, State, and Federal regulatory requirements. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services. Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance. Qualifications  Preferred Qualifications: 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Prior experience in community health center Requirements: A valid State of California State Board of Pharmacy Technician's License Bilingual in English and Spanish.   SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment TB clearance, to be renewed every year.
