Position Overview

The Reliability Electrician IIIĀ maintains,Ā troubleshoots, and improves electrical systems and production equipment to ensureĀ optimalĀ performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. This role provides advanced electrical support, develops detailed job plans, and mentors lower‑level electricians to improve overall plant performance and technical capability.Ā 

Position ExpectationsĀ 

The Reliability Electrician III is expected to perform assigned duties with a strong focus on:Ā 

1. Safe work practices following all OSHA,Ā NEC,Ā NFPA 70E, and facility safety requirements.Ā 

2. High-quality, precise workmanship delivered with a customer-service mindset supporting ā€œGreat Products & Service.ā€Ā 

3. Adherence toĀ establishedĀ standards and best practices gained through training and experience.Ā 

4. Continued growth in advanced maintenance and equipment knowledge, understanding the impact on production and business outcomes.Ā 

5. Clear communication and constructive feedbackĀ regardingĀ work needs, troubleshooting findings, and improvement opportunities.Ā 

Position Duties & TasksĀ 

1.Ā MaintainĀ Electrical & Control SystemsĀ 

Provide advanced maintenance on process and support equipment including:Ā 

  • MCCs, motors, inverters,Ā Converters, Reactors, andĀ power distribution componentsĀ 

  • PLCs, robotics, drives, and associated automation systemsĀ 

2. Troubleshoot & Execute RepairsĀ 

Identify, diagnose, and repair complex issuesĀ impactingĀ safety, quality, or productivity:Ā 

  • Distinguish between mechanical, electrical, process, and product-related issuesĀ 

  • Provide detailed findings and root-cause information to operations and maintenance leadershipĀ 

  • Recommend and verify necessary updates to electrical schematics and documentationĀ

3. Perform Proactive MaintenanceĀ 

Lead and execute PM and CM activities:Ā 

  • Preventive Maintenance:Ā 
    Perform inspections, measurements, and adjustments according to specifications and schedules.Ā 

  • Condition Maintenance:Ā 
    Repair/replace components based on PM orĀ PdMĀ results.Ā 
    Develop detailed job plans and request updates to schematics as required.Ā 

4. Support Projects & Process ImprovementsĀ 

Execute assigned work orders to support:Ā 

  • Reliability improvementsĀ 

  • Production and quality enhancementsĀ 

  • Equipment installation and upgradesĀ 

Tasks include installation or replacement of:Ā 

  • MotorsĀ 

  • DrivesĀ 

  • Line ReactorsĀ 

  • FiltersĀ 

  • InductionĀ ChokesĀ 

  • StartersĀ 

  • Control systemsĀ 

  • PLC hardwareĀ 

  • Facility electrical systemsĀ 

5. Mentor & Support Electrical TeamĀ 

  • Coach and support Reliability Electrician II employees as they develop required skillsĀ 

  • Assist Reliability Electrician IV–V team members with advanced installations and upgradesĀ 

  • Continue developing personalĀ expertiseĀ in preparation for higher-level rolesĀ

  • Advanced training in PLCs, VFDs, robotics, or automationĀ 

Work Shift

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
