Overview:
This position will assist in the facilitation, implementation, development, and management of community schools' activities, events, programs and services.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. 12-months Monday - Friday school hours. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.
Location: Spencerport, NY
Responsibilities:
- Partners with school and Department of Community and Family Engagement to promote the community school's strategy.
- Establishes and maintain connections with local organizations and businesses to expand learning opportunities, and provide health and social services to community
- Organizes engagement for students, family and volunteers
- Assists in data collection and evaluation
Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in social services, education, youth development OR Equivalent combination of experience and education / Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years' experience working with youth/ student/ or families
Skills:
- Excellent Communication
- Knowledge of Spencerport Schools
- Knowledge of positive youth development, asset development, risk reduction and protective factors
Pay Rate: $25 per hour
