ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Answer phone and warmly greets clients and visitors as they arrive at the Agency  Accepts applications, interviews clients, assesses service needs and determines client eligibility for services. Coordinates the most effective solution for their needs utilizing available programs and community resources.  Prepares and maintains detailed files with household and service data as required by the program or service.  Adheres to the funding allocations provided by the Finance Department.  Performs data entry on households served and service information as prescribed by the funding source to generate reports. Assists with report preparation.  Conducts outreach activities for the Emergency Home Energy Assistance Program Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program.  Gathers statistical information for State, Federal and Agency Reports.  Uses and follows the policies/procedures of You Thrive Florida, including but not limited to Personnel Policies, Occupational Health and Safety policies, payroll policies/practices, etc.    NON-ESSENTIAL/SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:  Performs any additional duties as directed or assigned by supervisor, management staff, program director or You Thrive Florida management staff. This description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with the position.      Qualifications JOB STANDARDS:  Education: High school graduate or equivalent.  Experience: Minimum one year in social work or customer service environment.  Licenses & Certifications: Valid Florida Driver license and be insurable by company’s current insurance carrier. Subject to federal, state and local legal requirements/background checks/clearance for working with vulnerable populations. Within 1 year of employment obtain the Results Oriented Management and Accountability (ROMA) certification.    CRITICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, & EXPERTISE:  Physical Requirements: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Talking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, use of fingers, arms, hands, legs, walking, stretching/reaching, handling, grasping, climbing, bending at the waist, turning, balancing, pushing, pulling, use of depth perception, carrying and lifting (up to 65 lbs.), and driving are constant. Good eyesight (correctable) and hearing (correctable) are essential.  Equipment:  Computer, facsimile, copy machine, calculator, switchboard, multi-line phone and other small office equipment and vehicle.  Skills & Expertise: Knowledge of available community resources. Ability to accurately perform data entry tasks. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Ability to perform mathematical computations. Ability to deal effectively with people. Ability to work with limited direction. Skill in organizing and maintaining accurate records/files.    ENVIRONMENTAL JOB FACTORS:  Job Location: Hernando or Pasco county offices.  Work Environment: While performing the responsibilities of the position, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the employee will encounter. Office environment and working with others frequently.
