As we continue to expand and serve more patients throughout our community, we are looking to add a dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to our team. Our technologists play an essential role in our ability to provide timely, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic imaging services. Key Responsibilities Greet, receive, and prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and other imaging procedures when appropriately certified. Assess and document each patient's condition to determine proper handling and identify any special requirements. Review requisitions, physician notes, and special instructions prior to performing procedures. Explain procedures to patients and assist them with proper positioning to obtain optimal diagnostic images. Provide a positive, compassionate patient experience while upholding Pueblo Medical Imaging's standards for patient satisfaction. Follow established procedure protocols as directed by the Medical Director and/or physician performing the procedure. Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations as ordered by referring physicians. Follow and enforce ultrasound safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Safety requirements for additional modalities may apply when appropriately certified. Maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms in proper working condition and promptly report equipment malfunctions or necessary repairs to management. Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, support staff, and other members of the care team. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Qualifications 2–3 years of previous ultrasound experience preferred. ARDMS and RVT credentials, or registry eligible. Ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Ability to read, understand, speak, and follow instructions in English; bilingual skills are preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients, physicians, and colleagues. Strong knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, protocols, and techniques. Demonstrated competency in standard precautions, aseptic technique, venipuncture, and contrast administration, as applicable to the position. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 2-3 years of previous US experience. ARDMS and RVT for US credentialing or be registry eligible. Ability to do essential job duties. Ability to read, understand, speak, and follow English instructions. Bilingual preferred. Display superior interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and peers Possess a superior knowledge of US procedures and techniques. Must have complete competency in standard precautions, aseptic technique, venipuncture, and contrast administration. MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to manage stress appropriately. Ability to manage time efficiently. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize effectively. Ability to work alone and/or with others effectively. Ability to work in close proximity to others in a medical office environment. Possess common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form.
