Ā Included in the POWDR portfolio, is Stovepipe Wells located in Death Valley National Park, operated under a long-term concessions contract with the National Park Service.

Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go cafƩ, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.

Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.

Job Summary:Ā 

Ā 

TheĀ Porter atĀ plays a vital role inĀ ensuring thatĀ guests have a smooth and pleasant arrival and departure experience. As a member of the Front Desk team, the PorterĀ assistsĀ guests with their luggage, provides directions, escorts guests to their rooms, and helps with any special requests or needs during their stay. This position also supports theĀ front desk with administrative tasks and ensures guest satisfaction by delivering high-quality service in a friendly and professional manner.Ā

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ā 

Ā 

  • Greet guests upon arrival and provide assistance with luggage, ensuring a warm and welcoming first impression.Ā 

  • Escort guests to their rooms,Ā assistĀ with parking directions, and explain room amenities and features.Ā 

  • Respond to guest requests, such as delivering extra amenities (pillows, towels, etc.) or providing directions and information about the lodge and park.Ā 

  • Support the front desk team byĀ assistingĀ with check-ins, check-outs, and answering general guest inquiries.Ā 

  • AssistĀ withĀ maintainingĀ the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.Ā 

  • AssistĀ with transporting luggage and other items to and from rooms or storage areas.Ā 

  • CommunicateĀ any guest service concerns or maintenance issues promptly to theĀ appropriate departmentĀ for resolution.Ā 

  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, acting as an ambassador for Zion Lodge and ensuring all guests feel welcome and valued.Ā 

  • HelpĀ maintainĀ a clean and orderly front entrance, ensuring walkways are clear of debris, snow, and obstacles.Ā

Work Location:Ā 

  • Due to the in-person nature of the hospitality business,Ā housing will be provided on-siteĀ and commuting fromĀ the local vicinity is also acceptable.Ā Ā 

  • Due to the nature of our business,Ā Zion LodgeĀ is open every day. You must be prepared toĀ workĀ a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Ā 

  • Able to work and thrive inĀ ZionĀ National Park.Ā 

  • PreviousĀ hospitality or customer service experienceĀ preferred butĀ notĀ required.Ā 

  • Strong communicationĀ and interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional guest service.Ā 

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including luggage, up to 50 lbs.Ā 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the lodge for extended periods of time.Ā 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities with a positive attitude.Ā

  • AllĀ teamĀ membersĀ mustĀ maintainĀ aĀ neat,Ā cleanĀ and well-groomedĀ appearanceĀ (specificĀ standardsĀ availableĀ inĀ the Employee Handbook).Ā 

  • Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. ItĀ isĀ yourĀ responsibilityĀ toĀ reportĀ defective,Ā damagedĀ orĀ lostĀ PPE,Ā orĀ equipmentĀ thatĀ doesĀ notĀ fit properly, to yourĀ Manager.Ā Ā
