SAIC is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (DPM) to support a large-scale federal IT services. The DPM will serve as the principal deputy to the Program Manager (PM), providing full-scope oversight of program operations and standing in as the PM's authorized alternate to ensure uninterrupted leadership, accountability, and service delivery.
This is a key leadership role responsible for program governance, staffing and workforce readiness, performance management, transition execution, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation across a distributed, multi-site support environment. The successful candidate will bring proven program management discipline, strong customer engagement skills, and the ability to assume full program authority on short notice.

Job Duties:
- Serve as full alternate to the Program Manager, assuming program leadership authority and decision-making responsibility during PM absence to ensure continuity of operations.
- Support development and maintenance of the Program Management Plan, ensuring cost, schedule, performance, and risk objectives are consistently met.
- Identify and drive efficiency opportunities, process improvements, and standardized service delivery practices across the program.
- Support execution of transition planning activities, ensuring operational readiness, staffing continuity, and timely onboarding of personnel.
- Support the Performance Management Plan, monitoring service level metrics and driving root-cause analysis and corrective action for any performance gaps.
- Support Quality Assurance/Quality Control program execution to ensure deliverables and work products are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Oversee staffing sufficiency across management, technical, and field support roles to maintain service levels without degradation.
- Ensure personnel compliance with required security, background investigation, and training requirements.
- Support continuity, cross-training, and succession planning for mission-essential roles to protect critical functions during turnover, surge periods, or emergencies.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer program offices and stakeholders, ensuring proactive, accurate, and timely communication.
- Support a Communications Management Plan covering services, incidents, outages, and program changes.
- Ensure timely submission of required program deliverables and reporting.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, including periodic program optimization reviews.
- Enforce scope boundaries and clean escalations with engineering (TALON) and enterprise O&M (TOMCAT).
