Join a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and other aerospace customers. Â We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Research and Development Division in Herndon, Virginia.
Essential Job Duties:
- Work in cross-functional teams with program managers, scientists, and engineers to develop new technologies and laser systems for military and space applicationsInvestigate technical issues and support their resolution
- Develop test processes, test plans, test procedures, test equipment designs, test configuration set-ups and systems integration using proven methodologies and techniques
- Design deliverable hardware, as well as ground support and special test equipment
- Requirements management and traceability to system verification and validation
Experience and Expertise Required:
- Experience in Systems Engineering and/or other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on test requirements development, test planning, test documentation, and systems integration, verification, and validation.
- Experience developing and/or managing system requirements.
- Experience with spaceflight, electro-optic hardware integration is a plus.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Hold or can acquire a Secret Clearance preferred
- A minimum of 5Â years of prior relevant experience
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Optics
