As our organization continues to grow, we are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Billing Clerk to join our Accounting team. Job Description The Automotive Billing Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, billing, and posting of new and used vehicle sales. This position ensures that vehicle deals are properly documented, all funds are received and accounted for, and transactions are accurately recorded in the dealership's accounting system. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and financial documents, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment. Key Responsibilities Process and bill all new and used vehicle deals accurately and in a timely manner Post completed vehicle deals and related transactions into the dealership accounting system Receive, receipt, and accurately account for all monies received from new and used vehicle sales Review deal jackets for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation and signatures Verify VINs, customer information, vehicle information, pricing, taxes, fees, trade-in information, and other deal details Identify and resolve missing information, discrepancies, and accounting errors prior to finalizing deals Maintain accurate accounting records for vehicle sales, gross profits, receivables, and vehicle inventory Process payoff checks for trade-in vehicles and ensure payments are sent to the appropriate financial institution in a timely manner Process dealer trades both in and out of the dealership and ensure all related documentation is accurate Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory and deal status Prepare and maintain salesperson commission reports Monitor and maintain lists of commissions on hold and assist with resolving outstanding items Reconcile deal-related transactions and assist with identifying discrepancies between sales and accounting records Route paid and completed deals to the Tag and Title Clerk promptly once funds are received in-house Maintain organized files and ensure completed deals are properly documented and retained Communicate with Sales, Finance, Title, Accounting, management, and other departments to resolve deal-related issues Provide administrative and accounting support to management and other departments as needed Maintain confidentiality of customer, financial, and dealership information Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor The Hanania Advantage Competitive compensation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company participation Paid time off and holidays Employee vehicle purchase program Opportunities for growth and advancement within the Hanania Automotive Group Supportive, team-oriented culture with long-term career potential QualificationsQualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or GED Basic working knowledge of accounting Intermediate Microsoft Office skills Strong mathematical and organizational skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Previous automotive dealership or billing experience preferred Enthusiasm for the automotive dealership industry Must be able to pass pre-employment screen (background & hair follicle drug test) Equal Opportunity Employer Hanania Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.
