All employees are expected to advocate for the best interest of Emmaus clients and demonstrate Emmaus’ Core Values in all aspects of their job.    Key Responsibilities Deliver clear, effective, high-quality training to new hires and existing team members. Instruct First Aid, CPR, De-escalation, food textures, and all other Emmaus training courses.  Facilitate training in a way that supports different learning styles. Assess the employees’ retention of the training material, readiness for certification, and provide individual support, coaching and feedback. Collaborate cross functionally to share best practices, network, and solicit input on how to improve the effectiveness of training. Participate in committees or workgroups as needed for companywide initiatives or special projects. Gain and maintain subject matter expertise in E-learning. Regularly use a Learning Management System for developing or searching modules, running reports, and monitoring and reporting progress. Instruct external participants in First Aid, CPR and Mandt in the Learning Lab. QualificationsStandard - Demands of the Job Operate standard office equipment including but not limited to a laptop, cell phone, fax machine, printer, and copier. Appropriately and effectively assist individuals during crisis or emergency situations.  Perform detailed data collection, recording and reporting in handwriting and typing.  Able to demonstrate duties for trainees, including but not limited to: Assist clients to stand from the ground, stand from a sitting position, or out of a bathtub, etc.   Turn persons served in bed, re-position or push them in a wheelchair, or in other circumstances lift, or assist lifting, a person to maintain their safety and comfort.  Stand in a lunge position, with your feet wider than the widest part of your body for 30-45 seconds in training and up to 3 minutes in an emergency. Kneel – bend legs at knees to come to a rest at knees and crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.  Able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with lifting, transferring or moving individuals/equipment up to 200 pounds with the assistance of adaptive equipment. This includes loading and unloading from average vehicles and vans.      Able to perform CPR on the floor and demonstrate to employees. Perform routine math functions and Excel functions to create reports and analyze data.  Able to solve complex problems, prioritize and plan in a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to develop and maintain a method of organization that supports being efficient and effective. Able to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.   Job Requirements/Desired Education and/or Experience HS diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in human services or healthcare preferred. Previous experience delivering instructor-led training in classroom or group environments is preferred. Exceptional facilitation or public speaking skills required. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Practical knowledge of accreditation standards is preferred. Experience in curriculum development and implementation is highly preferred. Intermediate skills using, Microsoft Office 365 products, Relias LMS, QuickMar/electronic medication administration system, THERAP/electronic client record system, and time and attendance system preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Able to acquire and maintain instructor certification for Mandt System, American Red Cross CPR/First Aid, Tools of Choice training as well as certifications deemed necessary through regulatory agencies or best practices required. Must be open to working primarily days, a few evenings every month and a couple of Saturdays a year.
