Job DetailsJob Location: Lakeshore - Professional Hearing Aid Center - PHAC - SCS - St. Clair Shores, MI 48081Job Category: Admin - ClericalWe are looking for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Professional Hearing Aid Center in St. Clair Shores. This position provides administrative and clerical support in a customer service capacity to patients and customers in a medical setting. Duties include, but are not limited to: Schedules and confirms patient appointments. Greets patients/visitors and obtains/updates copies of insurance cards and driver’s licenses. Obtains/updates/organizes patient documentation to include, but not limited to, complete demographic information, current insurance information, Consent to Treat/Assignment of Benefits, Notice and Acknowledgement of Privacy Practices (HIPAA acknowledgement). Enters/updates patient information in the medical record. Verifies insurance benefits and processes/confirms referrals and authorizations as required by the patient’s insurance plan. Manages patient invoices; proactively collects and posts co-payments, deductibles, and prior or past due balances. Actively reviewing company’s accounts receivable. Reconciles all daily reports for accuracy and prepares bank deposits. Completes medical record release requests. Maintains adequate levels of supplies; accepts, checks in, and organizes incoming supply deliveries. Provides other general office and clerical support as assigned. Other duties assigned as needed. RequirementsWhat We're Looking For: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience: Strong customer service experience. Experience working in a medical office or setting preferred. Experience with electronic medical records preferred. Licensure / Certification / Registration: Not required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Friendly and personable. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Office 365. Ability to use email and electronic calendars. Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Personal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required. Physical Demands: Sit and stand for extended periods of time. Talk or hear for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers in order to operate a computer keyboard. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
