Cura Health is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) for our Assisted Living Facility (ALF), Serenity Place on 7th in Saint Joseph. The Director of Nursing will provide strong leadership and oversight to the nursing department, ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents. You will be responsible for managing nursing staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering a supportive environment focused on excellent resident outcomes and satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage nursing staff in daily operations within the assisted living facility.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain nursing policies and procedures consistent with state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure high standards of resident care and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care plans.
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and prepare for inspections.
  • Monitor staffing, budgeting, and training within the nursing department.
  • Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and professionalism among nursing staff.
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in nursing leadership, preferably in an assisted living or long-term care setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards relevant to ALFs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage budgets and staffing efficiently.
