Join our team as a Shipping Lead and play an important role in keeping our operations running efficiently. This hands-on leadership position offers the opportunity to lead a team, improve processes, and make a direct impact on daily shipping operations. What you will get to do:

Shipping Operations

  • Oversee and perform daily shipping activities, including picking, packing, labeling, and loading outbound shipments.
  • Verify outbound shipments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with shipping requirements.
  • Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, and meet quality and timeliness standards.
  • Assign daily tasks and coordinate workflow for Shipping associates.
  • Provide coverage and support across shipping functions as needed to ensure department operations run efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory accuracy.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

Team Leadership

  • Train and support new team members on department processes, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for department questions or issues when management is unavailable.
  • Support team members and help balance workloads based on daily business needs.

Quality & Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support new processes or equipment.
  • Investigate shipping discrepancies and inventory variances and help develop solutions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience, with previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with barcode inventory systems and warehouse/distribution processes.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with an ERP system such as Epicor, SAP, or NetSuite.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team, manage workflow, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift and meet company licensing requirements.
  • Willingness to work overtime periodically.
