Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing. 

Job Summary

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center is looking for a Director of Nurturing Network to provide leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for its childcare center. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children while maintaining compliance with all state licensing requirements and accreditation standards. The Director of Nurturing Network supervises staff, manages budgets, oversees curriculum implementation, and fosters strong relationships with families and community partners to support high-quality early childhood education and advance the organization’s mission. Starting compensation is $48,000.

Overview and Responsibilities

  • Adherence to all clinical policies and procedures found in QOPC manual.
  • Meet program budget through census goals, documentation standards and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all programming space is conducive to child development and adheres to standards, including but not limited to:
    • Nurturing Network’s child care spaces
    • Intake and Admissions
    • Residential client rooms
    • Recovery homes
  • Adhere to and demonstrate plan to exceed ASAM, CSTAR and other applicable standards.
    • Complete program audits and implement change processes as needed.
    • Maintain and work to exceed quality/compliance scores of 85%.
  • Responsible for teacher staffing schedule and class size. Ensure class sizes are within QOPC standards.
  • Be a team player, willing to assist as required while training staff to become more capable and competent while empowering autonomy.
    • Develop standardized orientation program for new teachers and aid in the orientation development of disciplines that cross Nurturing Networks.
    • Train childcare staff on documented systems prior to autonomously leading a classroom. Provide ongoing coaching and accountability.
    • Complete one staffing per week, one group supervision per week and daily hot spot meetings.
    • Attend clinical staffing meetings to provide pertinent information.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education, child development, business admin, or a related field. Masters preferred.   
  • Minimum of 3 years in childcare and leadership role.    
  • Strong knowledge of state childcare licensing requirements and regulations.  
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain).
