Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver and Access Control in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post includes operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will support access control, communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service while embodying Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical refining location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least six months of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
