BWBR is seeking a healthcare architect with demonstrated experience to lead the design, coordination and delivery of complex healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate understands the unique regulatory, clinical and operational demands of healthcare environments and can translate them into thoughtful, compliant and efficient design solutions. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role across all phases of projects, from programming and schematic design through construction administration, while collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

•    Lead architectural design and technical execution for healthcare projects, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, medical offices, and specialty care facilities. Behavioral health experience a plus

•    Lead client meetings, presentations and design reviews and respond to feedback to ensure the design progression according to the project schedule. Ensure requirements are communicated to the full project team

•    Collaborate with BWBR’s internal team as well as external consultants on all aspects of the building design

•    Ensure compliance with healthcare-specific codes and standards 

•    Prepare documents and perform Quality Assurance reviews of project documentation at major project milestones

•    Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to a collaborative and productive environment

•    Participate in marketing or other activities as needed

Qualifications:

•    Licensed Architect in the State of Minnesota preferred

•    10+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated experience with medical projects

•    Proficient in Revit for all phases of design and documentation

•    Strong understanding of planning and design plus technical building requirements

•    Solid knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and life-safety requirements

•    Excellent listening, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

•    Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and work effectively in a team-based environment

•    Experience with other markets such as higher education, science and technology, or government facilities a plus

•    Familiarity with sustainability strategies, high-performance building design, or LEED projects

•    Construction administration and field coordination experience
