The job of theĀ Accounts Receivable Accounting AssistantĀ is toĀ perform accounting job duties onĀ a timelyĀ basisĀ and toĀ verify accuracy of accounts by performing the following duties.Ā 

Ā 

How You Will Contribute:   

  •  Responsible for posting daily cash deposits received in a variety of ways (EPAY/ACH/Lockbox/Physical Checks etc..).Ā 

  • Responsible for research and proper posting of misapplied/unapplied funds.Ā Ā 

  • ResearchĀ andĀ resolveĀ credits on account either through proper application or refund processing.Ā 

  • Responsible for first outreachĀ regardingĀ past due/bad debtĀ collections.Ā 

  • Assists with DNOC/Cancellation processing and follow-ups.Ā 

  • Applying and contacting agents and/or underwriting with discrepancies.Ā 

  • AssistsĀ with corrections and day-to-day accounting issues with underwriting teams.Ā 

  • Answer questions from agentsĀ regardingĀ balances & work with them on getting issues resolved.Ā 

  • Cross-trainedĀ accounting functions to help fill-in covering vacations, illness, or any other absence.Ā 

    

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:   

  • Minimum education or prior job experience- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one – three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ā 

  • Proficient with MS Office.Ā 

  • Exceptional telephone demeanor.Ā 

  • Ability toĀ maintainĀ a high levelĀ of confidentiality.Ā
