Radiology Scheduler

Major accountabilities/critical responsibilities:

1. Accurately schedules appointments in scheduling system.

1. Request and verifies all demographic information and updates with each booking.

1. Reviews and documents validity of insurance, prior authorization needs and appropriate diagnosis for scheduled radiographic procedure. Communicates appropriate preparatory information associated with procedure to patient and physician’s office.

4.   Ensures that all relevant information on scripts for radiologic procedures is entered accurately and completely. 

5.   Handles all bookings in a timely manner and informs offices within a reasonable time (24hrs) with confirmation number. 

6.   Cancels booking and moves bookings carefully.

7.   Attends scheduled staff meetings, in-service education as required.

8.   Demonstrates a positive attitude toward health care team members and diverse patient populations.
