Position Overview

The Senior Director, Paid, Owned & Earned Media leads enterprise media strategy and channel ecosystems across U.S. commercial priorities. This role owns long-term media strategy, governance, investment frameworks, operating standards, and performance management to strengthen brand equity, improve media effectiveness, and drive business results. The position leads through senior leaders and partners with executive stakeholders to align investments, channel strategy, measurement, data quality, brand safety, and partner ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Media Leadership

• Define and lead enterprise media strategy across paid, owned, and earned channels.
 • Establish channel architecture, operating models, governance frameworks, and investment principles.
 • Direct media portfolio prioritization, budget allocation, resource planning, and optimization efforts.
 • Lead executive decision-making regarding investments, performance, risk, and business priorities.

Channel Performance & Consumer Engagement

• Oversee paid media, owned channels, social and earned media, content distribution, and agency performance.
 • Establish standards for planning, campaign execution, measurement, experimentation, and optimization.
 • Ensure media strategies align with brand, consumer experience, communications, and commercial objectives.
 • Monitor performance trends and market dynamics to guide strategic adjustments and continuous improvement.

Measurement & Governance

• Define KPI frameworks, reporting standards, dashboards, and performance governance.
 • Drive continuous improvement in media effectiveness, data quality, measurement, and operational excellence.
 • Ensure compliance with legal, privacy, responsible marketing, and brand safety requirements.
 • Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations regarding business impact, investment effectiveness, and partner performance.

Partner & Organizational Leadership

• Lead agency, platform, vendor, and analytics partner strategies and relationships.
 • Drive initiatives that improve media productivity, automation, speed-to-market, and ROI.
 • Build organizational capability through leadership development, succession planning, and scalable operating practices.
 • Lead teams through Senior Managers and functional leaders while fostering accountability and high performance.

Annual Base Salary Range: $281,600 - $352,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
 • Significant experience leading media strategy, digital marketing, paid, owned, and earned media, or integrated marketing transformation.
 • Experience leading leaders within large, complex organizations.
 • Expertise in media operating models, investment frameworks, agency management, and performance measurement.
 • Strong executive communication, influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
 • Demonstrated success building scalable media ecosystems that drive measurable business outcomes.
 • Strong commercial acumen including ROI analysis, governance, risk management, and brand safety.
 • Experience working across matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams.
