POSITION SUMMARY
Performs a wide variety of duties involving administering radiation therapy to patients using specialized equipment and technical skills under supervision.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiation Therapy.
Experience:
- No previous work experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.   Â
- Ability to work well with patients, family members, physicians, visitors, coworkers, and others.
- Ability to work positively and with a caring attitude towards patients and their families who are often under physical and/or emotional stress.
- Intermediate computer operational/software skills. Â
License/Certification/Registration:
- Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years.
- Current registration as a Radiation Therapist(RTT) with the ARRT(T)

Receives general supervision from the Administrative Director of Radiation Oncology.
