Job DetailsJob Location: Stockton 99 - Stockton, CA 95215Salary Range: $33.00 - $45.00 HourlyValley Pacific is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain its fleet of delivery trucks in the Stockton, CA area. This person will assist with maintaining and repairing the truck fleet. This person will also help track all maintenance records and DVIRS. The successful candidate will have excellent communication (listening), negotiation, and relationship-building skills. VPPS is looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, highly organized, and able to resolve problems Must maintain a clean and organized shop environment. Required Skills/Experience Must have thorough knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a Class A diesel fleet mechanic. Knowledge of air brakes and related plumbing Proficient in the diagnosis of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and AC systems Knowledge of the mechanical requirements of the DOT/FMCSA/CHP for a HAZMAT fleet, performing intrastate commerce Tanker fabrication and aluminum repair experience a plus Preventative maintenance background CDL with tanker and hazmat endorsements a plus, but not required Compensation and Benefits Opportunity to make up to $100,000 Qualified applicants could earn up to a $5,000 sign-on bonus Medical/Dental/Life Insurance/401K Match Paid Time Off Plus, more!
