Vizmeg Landscape, Inc. is seeking a full-time Shop Foreman/Maintenance Manager to join our team in Stow, OH. The Shop Foreman/Maintenance Manager will oversee daily shop operations, lead our team of mechanics, and ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and mechanical experience, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and productivity.

Duties:

• Occasionally assist with the maintenance and repair of lawn and landscape equipment (including skid steers, mini excavators, compact tractors, wheel loaders, dozers, farm equipment, etc.) as well as trucks and trailers, when the team needs support diagnosing issues, completing repairs, or when the shop is behind schedule.

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize fleet performance and reduce downtime.

• Establish and manage preventive maintenance schedules to ensure vehicle longevity.

• Train and lead a team of mechanics to maintain high productivity and morale.

• Manage resources including labor, parts, and equipment, to meet maintenance objectives effectively.

• Collaborate with department managers to understand and address seasonal equipment needs.

• Develop and manage departmental budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards through regular inspections and audits.

• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance.

• Collect, analyze, and report on fleet performance and maintenance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• Oversee the entry and management of equipment in Tenna.

• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall shop operations.

 

Job requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience working in a heavy equipment, fleet, automotive, landscaping, agricultural, or similar maintenance shop.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or supervising mechanics/technicians.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Experience managing preventive maintenance schedules, parts, vendors, and shop operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with fleet/equipment management software preferred; Tenna experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record required.
  • Must provide personal mechanic/shop tools.
  • Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week, including Saturdays as needed.
