Job DetailsJob Location: Stuart, FL 34997Job Shift: Day ShiftJob Summary: A Painter/Assembler is responsible for both applying protective and decorative coatings to surfaces and assembling components into finished products. Painter I – Entry Level Responsibilities: Run all parts through parts washer, configure parts on rack or table, and paint with specified finish Clean all parts too large to run through parts washer with solvents before painting Monitor painting supplies and notify supervisor of low stock levels Maintain painting and spray booth equipment and notify supervisor of any issues Properly assemble and package per instruction with the use of hand and power tools Daily progress reporting of tasks completed Properly stack and secure parts to pallets or racks and move them safely with a forklift Notify supervisor of issues or shortages Properly stow all materials and tools when tasks are completed Painter II – Skilled Level Responsibilities: Must meet all level 1 requirements Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, or priming as needed Apply various coatings (e.g., primers, enamels, powder coat) using HVLP or airless spray systems with minimal instruction Ensure coating quality and coverage meet standards for thickness, texture, and appearance Read and interpret work instructions, paint specifications, and basic part drawings Touch up paint finishes and repair minor coating defects Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on paint and spray booth equipment Accurately assemble components and subassemblies using hand and power tools Confirm part conformity to specifications using visual inspection and basic measuring tools Report production progress and quality issues clearly and promptly Maintain clean and organized work areas, including regular cleaning of spray booths Follow proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures for paint and chemical materials Safely stack, secure, and transport materials or finished goods using a forklift Painter III – Advanced Level Responsibilities: Must meet all level 1 requirements Must meet all level 2 requirements Lead complex painting projects including multi-layer, custom finish, or high-spec coating jobs Troubleshoot and resolve paint defects (e.g., runs, orange peel, fisheyes) and implement corrective measures Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to Painter/Assembler I and II team members Schedule and monitor paint booth maintenance, filter changes, and compliance with ventilation or environmental standards Safely coordinate movement of large or fragile painted parts using forklifts, hoists, or carts Comfortable giving direction and or leading Peers. Shows interest in learning additional skills. Shows good decision-making skills without supervision.
