Lake Prince Woods is a thriving, not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) located in Suffolk, Virginia. Our community offers a full continuum of care, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, and Home Health services.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Healthcare Team on our 40-bed Skilled Nursing Unit. If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and making a difference in the lives of older adults, we encourage you to apply.

Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct resident care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role assists residents in maintaining their highest possible level of physical, emotional, and social well-being while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life. Care is provided in accordance with physician orders, state and federal regulations, and Lake Prince Woods standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
• Support residents in maintaining independence and achieving their highest level of functioning.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for residents.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established care plans.
• Adhere to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience

• Minimum of three (3) months of experience performing basic nursing assistant duties preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Certification & Requirements

• Successful completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
• Current CNA certification in good standing.
• Completion of all required in-service training.
• Must be at least 16 years of age in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.
