Job Summary:Â
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for performing complex accounting needs for the company, including directly communicating with company executives about financial strategies.
Â
Duties & Responsibilities:Â
These include, but are not limited to:Â
- Assuming a leadership role to guide accounting personnel in daily tasks.Â
- Reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions.Â
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.Â
- Prepare documentation for External Auditors.Â
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the CFO if necessary.Â
- Coordinate semi-annual audits and assist the CFO in running audits.Â
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.Â
- Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team.Â
Requirements
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations.
- Work experience as an Accountant, preferably 5 years or more.Â
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Â
- Experience with accounting software and databases like FreshBooks and QuickBooks.Â
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Â
