Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and highly organized Golf Shop Assistant Manager to work with the Golf Professional to oversee the daily operations of the Golf Shop and manage the outside services team. This leadership role is critical for ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the professional staff in all golf-related programs. The Assistant Manager will be the face of the facility, responsible for staff supervision, financial integrity, and a premier experience for all guests.

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in golf operations, retail, or a supervisory role, preferably within the golf industry.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team, specifically outside services staff.
  • Strong commitment to excellence in customer service and hospitality.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including experience with POS systems, cash handling, and daily sales reporting.
  • A passion for the game of golf and a comprehensive understanding of golf course operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed to manage the operation.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Staff Management & Supervision: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise all Golf Shop and Outside Services staff, ensuring adherence to the "Commitment to Excellence" service standard.
  • Customer Service & Operations: Oversee daily Golf Shop activities, including managing the tee sheet, ensuring seamless check-in, and handling guest concerns to guarantee exceptional hospitality.
  • Financial Integrity: Manage and reconcile daily point-of-sale transactions, cash deposits, and daily sales reports. Assist with budget tracking and cost control measures.
  • Player Development Support: Assist the PGA professional staff with the administration and execution of Junior Golf programs, community clinics, and other player development initiatives.
  • Tournaments & Leagues: Provide critical support for the setup, execution, and scoring of all club tournaments and weekly league play, ensuring a professional and timely experience.
  • Facility Readiness: Ensure the golf cart fleet and practice areas are clean, well-maintained, and prepared for daily use in partnership with the outside services team.
