If you would rather be the person who spots the misconfigured endpoint than the one who writes the policy about it, read on.
You will be the first point of contact for endpoint security, firewall and monitoring solutions at a NATO agency site in Norfolk, keeping systems confidential, available and accredited.
What you will be doing
- Applying and maintaining security measures set by policy and local risk assessment
- Working access controls for firewalls and endpoint security solutions
- Running routine vulnerability assessments with automated and semi-automated tools, and escalating what matters
- Supporting investigations into suspected attacks and security breaches
- Technical assessment of systems against assurance policy, including routine accreditation decisions
- Periodic backups, monitoring reports, user access coordination and security checklists
What you will need
- Practical cyber security operations experience: endpoint protection, firewalls, monitoring
- Vulnerability assessment work with the usual tooling, and the judgement to know what to escalate
- Familiarity with risk assessment, risk treatment plans and accreditation or compliance evidence
- Comfort with routine infrastructure operations and scripted or automated procedures
- Clear written English for reporting to senior stakeholders
