Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Sun Prairie - Sun Prairie , WI 53590Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayWhy You’ll Love This Role  Be a key part of a busy, customer-focused team that makes a direct impact on the success of the branch.  Gain hands-on experience with sales, customer service, quoting, billing, and product knowledge.  Develop your career through training, cross-functional learning, and advancement opportunities.  Learn specialized product categories including doors, windows, decking, trim, and more.  Work alongside experienced team members who are committed to teaching and mentoring.  Enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays, unlike many retail and home improvement environments.  What You’ll Do  As an Inside Sales Associate, you'll be the first point of contact for many customers, helping contractors and homeowners find solutions for their projects. You'll support daily sales operations, assist with quoting and order processing, answer customer questions, and help maintain the exceptional service standards our customers expect from Bliffert Lumber.  Customer Service & Relationship Management  Create a positive experience for every customer interaction.  Build strong relationships with retail and contractor customers.  Answer incoming customer calls promptly and professionally.  Assist walk-in customers with project needs and product selection.  Provide exceptional service that creates loyal, repeat customers.  Listen to customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.  Resolve customer questions and concerns with a positive, helpful attitude.  Sales & Order Processing  Support daily sales activities and help keep projects moving.  Enter and process customer orders accurately using company systems.  Prepare sales orders, quotes, and related documentation.  Update and revise customer quotes as project needs change.  Explain product features, benefits, pricing, and credit terms.  Collaborate with sales team members to support customer opportunities.  Assist with cash sales and transaction processing.  Help manage the high volume of quotes and customer requests received by the location.  Product Knowledge & Team Collaboration  Build expertise that helps customers make informed purchasing decisions.  Develop knowledge of building materials, lumber products, and company services.  Learn product categories including decking, doors, windows, and trim.  Participate in company training programs, including Spruce system training.  Continuously expand product and industry knowledge.  Become a trusted resource for customers and teammates.  Cross-train with experienced team members to support future succession plans.  Assist with billing activities and administrative tasks as needed.  Safety & Compliance  Contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.  Promote a safe and professional work environment.  Follow and support all Bliffert Lumber safety policies and procedures.  Report workplace injuries immediately to management.  Protect confidential company financial information, business plans, and customer information.  Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.  Keywords  Inside Sales, Customer Service, Building Materials, Lumber Industry, Sales Associate, Product Knowledge, Relationship Building, Order Entry, Sales Support, Customer Experience, Construction Materials, Home Improvement  Qualifications Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers.  Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company systems.  Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.  Ability to stand, sit, walk, and navigate stairs throughout the workday.  Ability to occasionally lift and carry products weighing up to 25 pounds.  Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.
